Kari G. Guidry graduated from Loyola University, School of Law, where she was active as a practitioner in the school's pro bono law clinic. Prior to law school, Kari received her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from the James Madison College of Michigan State University. Kari has also studied at Cambridge University, in the United Kingdom, and the University of Vienna Law School, in Austria. After law school, Kari worked as staff attorney for the 14th Judicial District Court and for the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal of the State of Louisiana. Kari is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Southwest Louisiana Bar Association and Allen Parish Bar Association.
